The zero day in Kennedy Meadows was a delightful surprise, kicking off with a hearty breakfast of blueberry pancakes at the General Store. I was amazed at how quickly my stomach filled up, despite the all-you-can-eat offer. Thankfully, Boostie stepped in and devoured the remaining pancakes, ensuring we had enough fuel for the day ahead. After a quick shuttle ride to Grumpy Bear's, we had lunch, and I spent the time charging my phone and writing. While Grumpy Bear's food was pricier, it was worth the extra cost for the superior taste. I opted for a chicken, bacon, and ranch wrap with avocado, a satisfying choice. Boostie, ever the practical one, grabbed a pack of beer, and I stocked up on soda for the evening.
The night unfolded with a surprise left by Rawhide in the Aussies' tent vestibule. It was a hilarious care package sent by Rawhide's friend, filled with goofy items. Rawhide couldn't carry it, so we left it in the hammock, hoping others would find it amusing. The tramily's early bedtime didn't dampen our spirits, as we were all eager to witness Rawhide's reaction to the surprise.
